  12.                        Special Note Regarding CD-ROM Installation
  13.  
  14.           The files on your CD-ROM are not compressed, so you can see the 
  15.           look of a program right from the CD-ROM by typing the program's 
  16.           .EXE name at the DOS prompt.  You will not be able to save any 
  17.           files you create in this manner, however.  To do that, you must 
  18.           install the program to a floppy or a hard drive.  It is recommended
  19.           that you install this program to a floppy disk if you wish to test 
  20.           it thoroughly.  That way, the files you create can be copied to 
  21.           your hard disk should you decide to keep it later on.

  23.           You can install Private Library from your CD-ROM to a floppy disk, 
  24.           test it as thoroughly as you like, and then if you decide to keep 
  25.           it,  you can install it to your hard disk by running the Install 
  26.           found on your floppy disk, just as if the floppy disk were a 
  27.           distribution disk.  Install will copy over all of Private Library's
  28.           files, and if you've created any data files, it will notify you and
  29.           ask if you want those copied over as well.

  58.                             Installation from the CD-ROM
  59.  
  60.           From Private Library's CD-ROM directory, type:
  61.  
  62.                                       install
  63.  
  64.           Install will ask for one or two items:
  65.  
  66.                       1   the target drive, and
  67.                       2   the target directory (if copying to a hard disk)
  68.  
  69.           If you install Private Library to a floppy disk, you will not be 
  70.           asked for a target directory.

  72.           Please remember that you cannot install to a CD-ROM.

  74.           After specifying the drive (and directory, in the event you're
  75.           installing to a hard drive), Install will ask if you need to make 
  76.           any changes.  If you need to change an entry, press <Y> or the up
  77.           arrow.

  81.           Install offers \MYREALM as the default directory.  You can change 
  82.           it to your liking of course, but it is recommended that all of My 
  83.           Little Realm's programs be put in the same directory.

  85.           If you give Install the name of a directory that already exists, it
  86.           will put Private Library into that existing directory.  
  87.  
  88.           Warning:  You should only put Private Library into a directory with 
  89.           other My Little Realm programs.  They are made to interact 
  90.           properly.  If Private Library is your first MLR program, you should
  91.           put it into its own directory.

  95.                               Printing the Documentation

  97.           To print Private Library's documentation, go to the Private Library
  98.           directory (MYREALM is used as an example) and direct the printout 
  99.           of PRIVATE.TXT to the printer using the "> PRN" option as shown 
  100.           below.  Be sure your printer is on.

  112.           To print an order form, go to the Private Library directory and 
  113.           direct the printout of REGISTER.TXT to the printer using the 
  114.           "> PRN" option as shown below.  Be sure your printer is on.

  129.           computers.  They are:  Calling Cards, Checking, Charging, Savings, 
  130.           Public Library (for tracking the library books you borrow), Read 
  131.           More (a program designed to encourage young readers), and Records 
  132.           of the Realm (which helps you keep track of all of the important 
  133.           documents in your life).  Read DESCRIBE.TXT for information on all 
  134.           of these programs.
